fair enough, I'm not a phone user. but when I did try it on android just now, tapping the share button brings up a little pop up where I can quickly DM it to recently DM-ed accounts, "Copy Link", or "Share via...". Only the last option gives "x.com" and directly copying the link doesn't. But also, if you do choose "share via...", the option for twitter is basically Direct Message or Post, where posting would be an entirely new standalone tweet.

Since Aki is doing it here as a reply to her own tweet... the process involved seems to be a bit longwinded to imagine. but oh well. she got there, at least.
