Back with more sporty Pekora, using anything-v3 for the model and hll-5c lora. Could be cleaner but the results are a bit better. Is it pretty typical to do some kind of post-generation editing to get good quality images? On this one I fixed her right eyebrow and the index finger on the left hand.

I've been experimenting with inpainting as well. I still need to read the guide on the wiki (and any tips you have would be appreciated). Haven't had much luck reconstructing hands like Fubumio anon quite yet, but it seems pretty good at filling in background areas. In this one her tail was kind of floating off in the mountains, I was able to fix it a bit with inpainting.

Depends on the prompter, if you really like a gen and want it to look really good some post process stuff is generally necessary. That being said anything-V3 is a really old model, newer models should help with overall image consistency, check some out on civit and pick some you like and play around with those, you should see a big improvement.

Depends on how particular you are with your gens.
If you are concerned about face resolution, get the extension ADetailer, this will automatically inpaint the character's face at the end of the gen process. there is an option to also automatically inpaint the hands but it has varying success.
Personally I try to inpaint/photoshop any gens that I care about (usually requests or La+ gens) before posting them, but if its just to showcase ideas then its not that important

You could take hands from good images and slap them onto your gens and inpaint them with low denoise to blend them in with the style of the gen. Alot of the times inpainting is not the sillver bullet. You will have to guide it via simple edits on photoshop and the like.

This gen here was a request a while back, I used another image's hand and blended them together. Useful to hide other flaws in the gen as well

Based-mixes is popular in sd generals here in 4chan, so you can try that with hll LoRA
You can also try Breakdomain, ArcticFox, LS_Vividus v2 with hll LoRA

It takes care of quality as well as hands in the negative prompt

Pretty much gotta make those embed images yourself. To figure out trigger words sometimes the LoRA will let you look at all the tags they used to train it (It's "i" in top right corner of the box) and it should be the most repeated word. The model isn't much different than some of the other models here. Just BreakDomain with some ToonYou for faces. Picrel is a raw gen with no style lora. I got tired of mixing models with no real differences, so the style lora I mixed is doing the heavy lifting in the gens I have been posting here. I use adetailer sometimes and it flirts between helping and making things worse.

Yeah, I'm not sure what would cause that. The surefire way to figure it out would be to start your mix from scratch and gen the same image each time you merge in a model. Either a single model could be the culprit, or just the models don't mix well. The downside is that would take a while. But if you do find where that starts to happen, you can try block merging the models to see if you can keep the aspects of the model you want without including whatever is causing that issue.

You can also try upscaling with tiled diffusion. I like it better than hires fix. But again, the downside is it takes longer.

Fwiw, picrel is hires fix + adetailer on my model, and I can see some of the same issues, just not to the same extent. I would think that tiled diffusion would do a better job with the outlines.

Oh believe me I've done of playing around with and merging models. I've found which models are the worst offenders.. There probably isn't one magic model I can merge to fix it while keeping the things I like about my current mix but I figure its fun to try.
In general the culprit seems to be thick/thin lines. It's one of the reasons why your toonyou based mix doesn't run itno the issue, the lines are thicc just like the girls.

As the other anon said, it's not much longer in terms of generation time, though you pretty much can control how long gen time takes by changing tile size/overlap. It's more time in the sense that it works best in the img2img tab. So with hires fix, I can upscale a batch of however many gens I want at a time. But with tiled diffusion, I have to send a single image to the img2img. But that also means you can reroll the upscale with different seeds.

Picrel is a quick comparison. Left is hires fix, right is tiled diffusion. You are right in that it isn't wildly better, but I personally think it does come out cleaner. I also like to combine Tiled Diffusion with ControlNet Tile and bump up the denoise for more detail.
