Ahoy for a long time was the unofficial anthem of the vtubers, almost all (if not all) Japanese (and some western) vtubers knew the song, that song was a part of the reasons for the explosion of Hololive during 2020.
Of course it wasn't going to have the same numbers as Maribako as the vtubing industry was smaller than it is today.
Also Cover wasn't big enough to have the resources to promote it in the way they did with Maribako, not to mention that the Holo-caust stunted the song's popularity a bit since they couldn't distribute the song as openly as with the later songs.
