I think it boils down to personal preference. Some chatters enjoy getting thanked like that, some don't. She probably had to do some test streams and mock chat readings before debut, so the fact that she refuses to make a whole SCs reading stream might be a personal choice on her part and it's most likely greenlit by management.

One of the very few mistakes Fauna ever did was encourage this by saying she likes how "wholesome" prechat is with people greeting each other. This made the spastics go nuts and they now have literal bots set up to automatically greet everyone who says something in prechat. (Not even kidding, the response time is less than a second with the same canned message.)
