Oh neat. I remember hearing her talk about it and assumed it happened while she was there, not before. But yeah I heard her talk about chopping her own wood and stuff. She may be a wine mom at heart but aesthetically I could easily see her going for something similar to Nina now that she has the budget and connections to do anything she pleases. Obviously still a rrat, but one I'm beginning to lean towards. If this was someone new on the JP side I feel like any of the VShojo's that watched the teaser would have mentioned it since they have a primary EN audience and they would want to temper expectations if that were the case.

Obviously at the end of the day it's all rrats, even if you look at it from a wider point of view it makes sense. Nina never returning to her PL name, trying to re-establish herself for anyone looking for her, any of that stuff. Ignoring all of that in favor of just traveling seems like a very poor decision. Even Vesper and Magni were back to streaming on their old PL's like literally the day after their graduations were announced. It's kind of important to recapture as many of your old fans as possible unless you're signing with a big group that's going to ensure your debut is fucking massive

Look at it from a different perspective. Post graduation Nina made no efforts to try to take back her old accounts and didn't stream on her PL that people knew about. Outside of the NijiEN's referencing her or her appearing in the background of a recent stream she's basically been a ghost since graduating. Then look at other vtubers that left corpos. Sayu was making hints at her return even before her termination was announced, and streamed shortly after. Magni and Vesper are having LandonRandon collabs and hanging out literal days after their graduation is announced. Even Sana did a stream shortly after graduating even if she seems to have stopped that. Leaving a corpo = wanting to maintain as much of your old viewership as you can so you land on your feet. Either Nina is giving up on streaming entirely, or she's got something planned or she's just stupid, but I somehow doubt that. A debut with another big corpo fits that bill, and she's one of the few Niji's VShojo would actively push to get.
