me. I was full on hatred at first. What I have seen over the past couple of streams since Randon got back is a gradual change in Lando's approach, first only when playing with Randon and now even in his solo streams.

It almost feels like he's reading these threads and taking in the feedback. Last stream he stated out loud that he wants to focus the Professor stuff on youtube and diverge his approach with the streams. He even asked the chat if they would mind him streaming without a facecam.

I always thought that a lot of problems with vtuber community (how people see content, how they react to certain stuff etc) comes from this duality between character and person behind avatar. There's almost equal split in audience between people who see vtubers as anime characters and vtubers as a streamers, who just happened to be with anime avatar. And sometimes it doesn't matter how you think you see them yourself, because, for example, you can think "or, I'm normal, of course, it's people behind avatar" but you still treat them as characters who don't exist in real life, which leads to being angry when someone (or chubba themselves) ruin immersion, being angry when "muh unity is broken", being angry when "my oshi talked to a male" and other stupid stuff (shipping also lies somewhere near, for example)

Kiril is also a very gay orc but in the garden variety Tumblr casual way that asks if you've checked out the newest RuPaul's Drag Race episode or Slowdive album. Good rig and design and the closest to my energy IMO.

So Kdenlive is garbage for adding subtitles with different colors and such, and subtitleeditor is garbage because it can't play the fucking video, so I previously had to juggle two (three with kdenlive) applications to get subtitles aligned and colored.
I have now discovered a Subtitle Edit. It can use system's mpv to play your video with subs, supports subtitle style editing, has a visual audio waveform editing, can advice you on where to break lines and when lines are too fast, and can bake subs into the video. Highly recommended for all FOSS chads itt.

I think the thing is simply that magmites are partly anime/vtuber fans. They want to engage with an anime character they can gush over and support in their usual anime/vtuber communities. With Lando as he is, they can't do any of that. For example, Lando is now only relevant and tolerated on this board through Randon and the few people left who still don't know what happened.

I'm sure there are Magmites who like Lando for who he is and understand his desire for more freedom. They just wish they can support and engage with him like Vesties can with Randon. Even if it's just something simple. To be honest, I'd argue that's fair. Lando wanted to cultivate that kind of audience and he was good enough a performer to get them. Hell, even for all the numbers he has as Lando, magmites are probably his most serious fans. At the end of the day, it's fine if Lando wants to walk away from it entirely and let it all fizzle out. He just can't go around thinking he can have his cake and eat it too. His transition is not the same as Randon's, Henya's, Mike's, or even kson's. It has a price, and I wouldn't blame the magmites for it.
