My dakimagura finally arrived.
First impressions:
Print quality is okay but really nothing special. lower mid.
Shape of zipper indicates chinese manufacturer. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Two of my best dakis have a chinese manufacturer. But the zipper is not the end all be all, maybe it is really a japanese one.
Fabric is definitely not beginner friendly. It feels like it scratches easily. Mofumofu with utmost care. You should get your fingernails in proper shape if you care for longevity.
stubbles are a big no no with any dakimakura. Proper beard is okay, clean shaven is best.
Softness and texture of fabric leaves much to be desired.
If I had to compare it, I'd do so with mofoumofous fabric. The one before they introduced their divine sakuramochi blend.

It's always a compromise.
The best mix of longevity, ridiculous smoothness and softness I ever had was a shiromoufu sakuramochi one. It's no wonder they're instantly gone whenever someone sells them on the second market. But that's just an opinion. Their fabric is thicker while others prefer it thinner.
What makes a good cover is, as with blankets, matresses and pillows, a preference.
The two measures everyone can agree on is print quality and 2way tricot.
Smoothness is a preference. P80 is the go to for rougher but still high quality texture.
Cuddly Octupus is super smooth etc. etc.
