Nijisanji's merch store has legitimately the worst and most scummy business practices of any company I have ever seen, and I have been personally wronged by them multiple times, as a merch whale. Lying about shipping costs, offering one shipping price and then months later demanding I buy shipping tickets to upgrade my shipping costing $100+, refusing to combine multiple orders into one box to reduce the shipping burden and demanding more money anyway, refusing to cancel the orders because they changed the price on me months later. And all of that for 2% of soulless corporate cookie-cutter merch. So yeah, I'm still pissed at them. Okay, not of any company I've ever seen, but any I've bought from that hasn't been JUST a literal scam that doesn't actually sell you items. I've even heard of them pulling shit like telling someone with multiple orders made over several months to suddenly pay the Shipping Toll all at once, and when they try to cancel, the company says "You can cancel these orders but not these orders. Oh, we'll just take your refund and use it to pay your extra shipping cost :))" So not only do they refuse to actually refund the money, they'll cancel some orders and then steal that money to cover the increased price of other orders. Holopro's shop is arguably even more buggy since you make one wrong move and it'll kick you into $144 overnight shipping, but at least it'll tell you upfront so that you can just not complete the order. Nijisanji will let you check out with epacket and then email you demanding you pay extra shipping tickets months later and refuse to cancel your orders.
They might have taken steps to resolve this issue more recently, but I've had to deal with these process issues when they were at their worst.

Yeah, that's not what happened. Epacket wasn't suspended for a while when I checked out and some of my orders actually shipped with epacket. The notices and warnings came later after they started having these issues, they weren't there for the earlier cases. The shipping price increases I'm referring to are forcing you from ePacket to EMS. The $100 number comes from having *that* many orders that suddenly had this issue all at once that could have been combined- which they refused to do. So you can get into a situation where the site lets you check out with ePacket for several orders, months later they email you that ePacket doesn't work for one reason or another, *and* you can't cancel the orders. But it is some incredible corporate defense to argue that a website that allows you to check out with an unavailable shipping option is the fault of the *customer* and not the corpo for having a terrible website. Holopro's shipping calculator is shit, but they at least charge a flat rate, and other sites like amiami can do this just fine too by making it clear that the shipping calculation will be done after the initial order and based on the actual shipping cost.
