So now that some time has passed, what the actual fuck was this?
I've heard rrats that the girls were outright kept in the dark as to what this video would be, and in general it just has this weird low budget Iwara porn tier feel.
I know there's no real way to prove this, but I don't even have an Oshi or watch much of vtubers, I'm a casual fan at best and don't really think that highly of unicorns/gachis, but even I'm just off-put by this whole MV and didn't like it.

Unironically I think this was a shareholder push. The whole thing was extremely out of character for hololive.
1. Everyone getting more or less the same costume when quite a few talents already have their swimsuit costumes which fit them way better
2. Lewdness which was something the company was stepping away from (see marine's tall about what she is not allowed to do)

As I said in the OP I'm not exactly a fan of the more involved aspects of vtubing, like concerts, but I've always associated Hololive with being a sort of bubblegum pop safe and friendly brand. There's lewdness, but it's always given off more of a "girls at a sleepover" vibe, than outright slut stuff. Stuff like Marine's antics are also relegated to her specifically, most of the time what I've seen is stuff like the girls wiggling their avatar to make their chest shake, and being coy about it. Seeing them outright strip, as well as the 3DPD swimsuit women joining in too, and the Honey Select Marine, was just, weird.

That's honestly the only word that comes to mind. The ideal of Hololive's brand is something like what Fuwamoco do, or Holocure type of shit. It'd honestly be easier for me to explain getting caught watching literal Iwara porn, than this video.
