Speaking Japanese should be a hard requirement for getting into Hololive, and anyone that can't (especially if they've been in a while and still can't) should be immediately graduated.

- They're able to properly collab with their senpai
- They can have dedicated JP streams like FWMC just did to expand their JP audience
- Demonstrates seriousness about idol culture

I think speaking Japanese is a hard requirement for collabs with JPs to be anything more than the same old boring shit every time. The range of likely novel things that can occur when you put two people who can't communicate with each other together is not high.

The thing is though, speaking Japanese doesn't mean you're socially adept and can banter and be an entertaining streamer. Bae is a good example of this, her Japanese language ability is enough for basic communication but she's a total dullard who doesn't do a great job of bantering and being entertaining even when she's part of Japanese language collabs.

In a perfect world everyone would have native-level Japanese, but there doesn't appear to be a very big pool to pick from on that front. Since that's the world we live in, I basically think the number 1 requirement should be actual ability to be a decent streamer, and if you can't speak Japanese then you get segregated off from ever interacting with the Japanese speakers in more than a perfunctory way because it's consistently stupid and cringe when they try to force it.
