Yes, and I personally didn't agree with Yugo posting (never argued about it and just ignored any posts talking about him), but in cases like Masaru and that cat, it's very rare to find actual JP males voicing shota characters and said characters know how to keep the illusion up instead of being obvious trap fetishist magnets for sexually insecure men. It's kind of a grey area and those JP talents are rarely talked about anyways so they're easier to ignore, in my opinion.

I've been following him for a while since someone talked about him a few times here. Lovely voice to listen to, perfect for radio or tv or any profession involving voices. Not your typical cute boy model, but it fits his voice well. Does wonderful singing bits where he harmonizes his voice and it sounds amazing. Good at interacting with chat. Plays retro games and talks about retro games and his voice fits it perfectly. Not much typical cute boy cuteness, but he is endearing. I don't see any collabs, but seems like he has good charisma and would stay professional during them if he hosted any. Would recommend.

Chill voice, chill streams, chill vibes all around. Simple model, fits him well. Did a cute Kirby collab with Touma Tengu 2 days ago. Does carving streams which is nice and different to see. Pretty okay at interacting with chat, understandable if it's difficult to juggle since carving takes focus. Hard to tell where his cuteness level is, but I think he does have a cute laugh to me. Hard to tell if he collabs often because I only saw one collab, but I'm enjoying the crafting streams. Will watch more later.

He's also been much more relaxed about taking days off! He went drinking with some friends from his old workplace back in the black company office days the other day, and it made me really happy to hear about. He often works on his non-streaming days, but I'm glad he's not pushing himself as hard as he used to. He's really inspired me to do better for myself - I've started working out at the gym, I've been sleeping 7+ hours most nights with a few exceptions, I've been attempting a more healthy positive mindset, and just trying to be more worthwhile as a person. Ganchan has done a lot for me and continues to do so, and I love him endlessly.

I don't think that's the only reason people are upset. He's said countless times about his stance of being a form of temporary escapism until people can find a better solution in their lives, so if anyone is upset now about that then they don't watch him. I think him turning down the BFE significantly might have felt like a smack in the face to some Kindred. Obviously they love him for more than just the ASMR streams, but some Kindred might feel a certain way because they feel like they're being lectured on something they know already. He was only talking to the bad kindred that were being mean or too possessive in his streamlabs, but in a way the whole group gets lumped in and you can't help but feel something about that. It feels like a "parasocial bad"-adjacent, in a way. It feels like he's saying "don't get too attached to me", but he wants to be attached to us. It feels like he wants to get parasocial and close and needy with us, but he feels it's too much when we reciprocate that. It feels sort of hypocritical. Rules for thee but not for me sorta. I think that's what it is Kindred are feeling from what I've seen from the posts that say they're leaving. I won't lie, I too miss the Vox that was needy and menhera. I remember the time I started feeling more attached to him was his breakdown during the 800k Sims stream. That's what made the BFE feel so genuine. And to change from that, sure it's good that he isn't like that anymore, but it's like getting a completely different product that you paid for to almost flipflop on your stance.

All in all, a lot of Kindred and tourists are being way too hostile about this whole thing. If someone wants to leave, Vox has always said people are free to go if they want to. He'll be sad to not see their name in chat anymore, but if he doesn't bring them happiness anymore they shouldn't feel pressured to stay. Not by him or anyone else. I'm personally understanding if people feel they want to go instead of being forced to accept and agree with all his decisions. And anyone who makes someone feel guilty about leaving, they were never part of the clan in the first place.

this, jp livers are much more professional about the opposite sex. these past few months I've drifted away from my en oshi and found myself prioritizing my jp oshi more. made me really happy to see my jp oshi stream a coop game with both his fans and his coworkers, it's little stuff like that that makes me appreciate how much he puts into streaming nearly daily while working on covers. he even reassured fans that despite his upcoming busy schedule behind the scenes preparing stuff for us he chose to do all these things so we don't need to worry about him, I really REALLY like communication like that.

I kinda put a heavy divide between pre and post meds vox in my mind, and he’s already told us that last year he was thinking he was gonna lose everything, so he amped up everything about himself to people please. It’s not rocket science, like I feel like Orion from ARP is quite a good example. I don’t know how they did it, but even though they’re doing all this fanservice and they have some crazy yumes somehow they handled this kind of attention well like when they collab with their female coworkers, I genuinely see them just having fun meanwhile I feel like most of the guys in NijiEN use every collab opportunity to diss on their fans just because of a loud bunch.

for me what bothers me is that it's being put on the back burner for ANOTHER break. I don't want to know every private detail of his life, hell I don't even care about offcollab shit, it's being on break half the year already. Like you want to be close with fans but you've been on breaks so much already it feels like mixed signals. I agree people announcing that they're leaving is a tad cringe but I definitely feel frustrated as a fan.

Yeah I get you completely and I agree. He still tries way too hard to please everyone and I don't want that to be his downfall. Again, I'm happy he did try to clear things up, but at the same time I see why some Kindred may feel a certain way about it. I've always loved him for his film autism, his stance on being escapism for a female audience that almost never gets catered to, the way he hypes things up to get you hyped too, his lore, his perfect and beautiful design, his based takes on various things. We have so much in common. The BFE is a nice bonus and I've always wanted him to tone down the sexual stuff and the kissing in the middle of gaming streams, so when he did say that he would a while ago, I was happy (though I've felt myself needing more kisses lately, lol).

I understand all sides too, even the Kindred that are being a bit too harsh; he's been through so much so people are being overprotective for his sake. I don't have it in me get get angry or shit on any side in this situation. I just want to let people think things through and let out their feelings as they see fit. I'm glad most real kindred feel the same. Vox is kind and understanding, and a lot of his true fans reflect that.

Personally, I've been upset at the off-collab. Not because he didn't tell us (though it would have been nice if he said he'd be away for a week), but just meeting up with those whores made me feel ill. I'm sure he was professional and didn't do anything, but I just felt nauseous as soon as he started talking about it. I didn't want to feel like that, and I tried to hold it together, but just hearing a few seconds of the story made me feel so sick and I don't know why. Why is he allowed to feel jealous if we listen to another male vtuber's asmr but we can't feel jealousy for him? Maybe I'm crazy, I know. I've never sent any death threats or complained about it in his SCs or streamlabs, but for some reason I can't bring myself to hear his voice or watch his streams for now. I hope to just forget about it and pretend it didn't happen. From what I read from one of the threads, Lucubs seem to have it worse so I shouldn't feel so bad, but still. How do other yumes even recover from something like this? I hope to get over it.

There’s nothing wrong with taking a break from him for a while during this transitional period. If I could I’d recommend any kindred that feel like you to take a break from him until his movie comes out.

If it’s any consolation I’ll still tell people when he has a really entertaining and fun stream so others can still enjoy it. His dark souls collab with vanta was one of his best. I’ve been busy being an actual kindred ol and building gunpla in my free time so I guess I have a more nuanced take on things. Oh yeah, I've been meaning to catch that collab too. I was at work when it happened. And you build Gunpla too? I never thought I'd meet another Kindred into Gundam, that's awesome!!! I should do that too. I have a bunch of kits and I find building them and sanding off the nubs to be really therapeutic. I've got a bit of space on my shelves. I miss my oshi so much, why can’t he stream… it’s been two weeks already like he said. It was nice for him to tweet a bit today, but I still just wanna hear his voice again. I want to try and be patient and believe he’s just busy with offline work, but to communicate with us would be nice, considering what’s happening later this week with Mysta. I need my comfy streams back, even if it’s just 10 hours of Persona autism.Though I’m feeling similar to Kindred here, I don’t want him to tell us about the off-collab, I’m sick of hearing about it and I don’t wanna think about him with other girls, it just makes my stomach knot up. Like the other anon said, I suggest watching JP boys. They collab with girls sometimes, but they usually don't just use it as an opportunity to flirt with them at least, and while they might not go that hard on BFE, the general view they have is that being gachikoi for them is okay, as long as you don't get too extreme about it/ harass their collab partners etc. The worst you might have to deal with would be random /vt/ shitposts or some of their ''fans'' trying to push a hetship, but those can't really be helped. And you don't have to worry about them doing a full 180 about their content, like Vox wants to do with his.
