Yes Kiara is and will always be the great filter.
Azki gets like 20k playing GeoGuessr but the one time she collabed with Kiara it couldn't go past 8k. Gura usually gets 15-20k viewers too but the moment she collabs with Kiara it can barely touch 10k.

From my own experience I can say that Wawa is one of the easiest characters to play.
basically only character I can reliably clear hard stages

I haven't tried the latest update yet, so I'm just going off previous impressions, but since I don't know if they made any significant changes to her it should still be valid:

She was kinda meh in the very beginning but got buffed enough in subsequent updates to be a very valid character, especially for beginners, but doesn't have any particularly crazy endgame exploits like a few other characters that'd make her stand out for the super sweaty autismo hardcore holocure players.

Her basic attack is a wide melee slash, easy to get the hang of. She has good self-sustainment and defense skills with innate heals, attack and speed buffs and damage reduction, plus her special is a decent "panic button" when you've run into an overwhelming group, all of which makes her a good beginner character for people who need the help in the survivability department because they are still in the learning phase and need those safety nets.
Her revive item is similar, good for beginners who still die often, but drops off in utility the more experienced you are.

All in all I'd put her in A-tier, just missing anything super crazy to be in S, but very capable all around.

Kiara is THE beginner character.
Her normal attack is a big melee strike, teaching you about positioning.
Two of her skills reward you for moving, teaching you to never stand around.
Her last skill is a defensive skill - while easily her weakest skill in the long run it means she is more forgiving to beginners.

About Kiara never building up a "regular collab group", it's complicated:
Everyone's probably sick of hearing this (Kiara most of all, because she has to live with it), but debuff timezones are a thing. It's no surprise that chadcast for example are coincidentally all girls in compatible JP/AU timezones, similarly there are the NA cliques, etc.

Then there's Kiara's apprehensions and insecurities being self-conscious about "bothering" other girls too much and "annoying" them, which she expressed multiple times before, which leads her, at least for informal stuff, to mostly stick to girls who she knows are "safe" and fine with that (like Reine, or recently Nerissa etc.), unless she's explicitly being invited by others herself (which happens not that often, see above timezones). Also consider, her first "regular collab group" if you can call it that, was Takamori 1.0 back in japan at their start, and we all know how that ended, which probably left some scars that we still see when she has another emotional outburst over finally feeling appreciated now etc.

But overall she's doing ok now, she certainly has more collabs (and "regular groups", if that's important) than some actual loners like Ina or Ame (though again, no one notices or cares about them not collabing so much, because they seem fine with it and don't complain, so it's not a juicy issue), sure she doesn't have an actual regular thing like "chadcast", but Girlstalk is semi-regular enough and most importantly Holotori with its various subpairings collab often enough and especially with them being corpo-backed now we're basically guaranteed to see more of them, plus she already has established enough rapport with Advent right from the start that she can hang with them and "bother" them without feeling too self-conscious about it.

The Escape Room game Biboo and Shiori played recently. If the partner is "bad at zatsus", you're not really improving things much with forcing a random game collab you're not really into anyway. All you're doing is exchanging a potentially awkward but interesting zatsu experience for a definetly boring and unmemorable gameplay stream, another one of those where the talents don't really talk with each other because they're just focused on the gameplay and the only conversation is basically just short comments about on what's happening in the game, nothing that actually relates to the talents themselves.

I'd also challenge the notion that anyone of them is really "bad at zatsus", sometimes the collabs with apparent autismos can be even the most fun because Kiara is good at getting them out of their shell. I've rarely seen a zatsu collab where I was disappointed in the end, wasn't entertained by the talents, didn't feel their bonds developed, or haven't learned something new about them. On the other hand I've seen MANY gameplay collabs that felt much more like a boring waste of time where they just hop in some kusoge, play it (badly, of course) for an hour without any organic conversations developing (or if something potentially interesting comes up, it's always getting cut short because their attention has to get back to the game), and then it's over as if nothing happened (because nothing really did). Occasionally the collab is then saved when they add some actual freetalk at the end for a while after the game is over, and these are usually the only memorable moments, and I'm only thinking "wtf we could've had this kino fun for the whole stream if you just forwent the boring game completely and skipped right to the fun part only!".
