Seriously, how are their numbers so bad? Pic related is Song Mia who couldn't even crack 160 views on a VOD after 12 hours. They make NijiEN look like freaking Hololive members for Christ's sake. Does it even make any sense for AnyColor to keep them around?

koreans don't care about vtubers. they'd rather watch their own version which are PNGtubers called Dullahans (bc theyre "headless"). nijisanji also does literally nothing to promote KR
notice how the ones adopting more english in their streams have an increase of viewers all of a sudden, chiho and hari notably
their top talents all do streams in JP: yuya (RIP), bora, roha
yet they aren't graduated despite pulling some of the lowest numbers in nijisanji currently. kiru has double digit viewers consistently.
they are also the branch with the highest amount of graduations in ratio to how many already exist, nearly half the graduations were due to military service, thanks to nijisanji not caring that they were up for service 5 months after debut
i don't think anycolor cares that they pull low numbers, and they'll continue to be this way, pandering to non koreans to pull more viewers, or sticking to korean and never growing

Just like this chumbuddy said >>5615622 that's not true at all. I've been seeing lots of Koreans in Gura's streams since forever. They obviously are into it, but for some reason don't watch their girls. I know nothing about the KR side so I can't comment on the why.

Simple, back then, the only reason you as a JP Vtuber company would set up international branches was just to suck up any potential markets without really giving much thought to raising or promoting those talents. Then Hololive made EN and most JP Vtuber companies including Niji realized the potential of branching out and actually putting effort in hiring good international talents. KR is just suffering from the effects of those earlier decisions as they aren't growing a Vtuber market in Korea so much as they are just catering to the fairly small Vtuber fan community there.

Currently NijiEN is doing much better than KR and ID because this time Niji made sure to actually try and get decent talents, but even they are doing HoloID numbers at the moment so it's gonna be a slow climb.

Korea's main streaming platforms are AfreecaTV and KakaoTV, Twitch is a distant third, Youtube is a distant fourth.

Basically, anyone who streams primarily in Korean are double debuffed unless they simulcast or they are some chick with big boob implants trying to attract foreigner K-pop coomers and stans.

Hololive is getting some KR audience because it's the Japanese thing popular with foreigners whatever KR audience they're getting is still a pittance compared to what your average streamer gets on Afreeca.

It's not about race traitors. Most korean men are incels and see Japanese vtubers as pure anime waifus while Korean vtubers are just e-thots hiding behind an avatar. They actually see the Korean girls all over in real life and often know their roommates from camwhore sites and soft-camwhore ones like Twitch/Afreeca/etc. It's literally the same shit that made EOPs not trust English vtubers until HoloEN, because unless you have actual credentials like Nabi no one will respect you as a former e-thot transitioning to join the next internet fad for attention.
