I own several pieces of AZKi and blue AZKi merch and I'll freely admit that AZKi's ASMR had issues. I wasn't terrible, but she made some very common technical mistakes that most make early on and eventually fix if they take ASMR seriously. Then there's Nene from PK, who just buys increasingly expensive microphones and never fixes issues.

It's not that hard to figure out actually.
Very few ASMRsluts do it purely out of genuine "love for the craft" or whatever high-minded aspirations you think instead. For most it's just a cynical ploy to get easy money ("what, you're telling me instead of actually working I can just sit at home and record some cringe rp and lonely nerds will shower me with their donos? Well, don't mind if I do..."), and no matter how "good" they seem at it, never mistake it for them actually LIKING asmr itself, they just like it more than the alternatives (for example, actually working a real job) at the time, and will drop it the moment they can "afford" to do so.
So it's not surprising that when Fauna wasn't yet a Holo but just some random twitchwhore in a sea of thousand others, she had to put more "effort" into providing more fanservice-y asmr because she needed to chase the coomer money to pay her rent. Whereas now she has the HL brand buff where she can coast on a basically guaranteed five-figgy monthly income just for showing up, she simply doesn't need to "lower" herself to such things that are "beneath" her anymore, and can make a hundred times more money just playing Minecraft or whatever.

Her skill is there, but she doesn't seem fully aware of exactly what works (so someone with talent but less booksmarts), and her production is amateur tier. For example, a lot of her old works are brain melting-ly amazing despite the new insanely expensive mic, but those successes seemingly don't carry over. I'd go as far as to say her best works are in the past, while her newest stuff is pretty lame for the most part. Even early Fauna went a lot lovey-dovier than she does now.
