Knowing JST makes sense if you regularly watch JP chuubas or have an easy to remember offset, the vast majority of people here don't know Japanese, and since most aspies are American their time ranges from 13 to 16 hours behind Japan, which aren't particularly easy to calculate. The few people with easy offsets would be the aussies, because they're one hour ahead, and the argies, who are 12 hours behind, neither group is particularly large

Is it normal to be generally distrustful of your viewers? I’ve had a first time viewer pop into my stream and ask if I wanted to trade. I don’t know the market value for most items so I just politely declined. Had another first time viewer ask me if they could join my game within ten seconds of introducing themselves to me. I wouldn’t mind if they were a regular and knew they wouldn’t just be trolling me or whatever. But it just seems kinda dumb to play with people you don’t know.

i think overlays can add a lot of personality and character to the channel. they can communicate your energy/aesthetic to the viewer and make the experience more pleasing and unified if well done. they also allow you to keep all alerts, streamavatars, and other things away from the gameplay or whatever it is you want to focus on-screen while still giving it a place. i think they're particularly useful for zatsudan or low-energy games.

I think either females are much more oversaturated now or female vtubing is a bit of a fad that is dropping off at a faster rate than males vtubing is. Not that the same isn't also true for males, but the degree of the dropoff seems a lot more dramatic for females these days.
