I'm fairly sure I should be in low thousands over past few years, I'd say it's more than enough experience. Normal anime or gacha game characters are different in that there's no real person who gets affected by this. At worst fans of doujin annoy fans of the character because they start attributing wrong qualities to the character. That said, I don't really enjoy doujins of characters I'm familiar with if they're absolutely misrepresented.
