Cover stated in their financial report that songs make little money (in comparison?). But it's worth doing to expand mindshare.
I believe they tried getting licenses for Tatsuro Yamashita songs, but failed.
Gura did say she had to scrap some music projects, because the costs went up to high, after her increased popularity.

But it's been great seeing how Advent brings in new and returning audiences separate from Chumbuds. And most of HoloEN are getting a boost in subscribers. Gura is almost back to her usual 50k+ per month and Mumei rise is surprising.

Advent is great but from what I see, they appeal only to anime audience, just like every other holos. For mainstream appeal there's still only Korone, Miko, and Gura. If you do research on how people ended up in the rabbit hole, encountering the memes of those 3 came up the most. Among them, only Gura could create those instances over and over again with her karaokes and clips, so just boost that with official MVs?
