Most popular characters on MyFigureCollection. Out of the top 20 only one of them has animal ears, another one can transform and has a horn sometimes. These are the character designs anime fans like enough that they're willing to spend hundreds of dollars on their figures. Yes, there are other factors that might affect the list, like character's actual personality, popularity of the series, etc. But these are figures on a figure collecting site, no one if going to buy a figure of a shitty looking character just because they have a nice personality.

You don't really need to do anything. Kemonomimi and long hair by default creates a pleasing silhouette because it's a large rounded shape with a protrusion. It definitely won't be unique though. Normally what artists do nowadays these types of designs is place attachments on them like hats or big accessories to help them stand out more.

I think some level of asymmetry is needed. I think one of the reasons the design looks unnatural is because humans probably would not have designed it to be as symmetrical as that. Even something as simple as parting the hair one way or another, or maybe a little ear ring on one ear would go a long way to making it look more natural.

In some ways I really like the color scheme, it is a very striking and driven look which feels nice and refreshing compared to many modern vtuber designs. However its simultaneously rather plain, which kind of exemplifies the design as a whole. The base is good and striking, but at the end of the day its just the base. Any element that draws the eye will go a very very long way.

VRoid is a very paradoxical program, it's designed so people with drawing experience don't have to learn 3D modelling to make a character. The paradox here is that the people that can make a VRoid look good would be better off drawing their own PNG or even their own Live2D, this leads to VRoid being mainly used by people with limited artistic skills and people associating them with low effort models. This is similar to the free version of Unity, it's not an inherently shitty game engine, but the people who can make a good game with it are more likely to use the paid version or Unreal instead

I can go into a lot of detail but basically the 'character' itself is actually invisible tentacle monster that lives in a pond in the forest, it feeds off people as soon as they step into the pond by slicing them apart (invisibly of course and that's the part I really want to be animated) and the way it lures people into the forest and ultimately into the pond is through an artifical human which is the character I'll be but the two are linked but seperate identities (imagine the relationship between god and jesus except, for the purpose of eating people).

The character I have in mind is a bishi type, clean but not feminine but not giga chad masculine either. Alluring blue eyes, dark hair in a typical anime style covering the forehead and some wispy strands over the eyes. Fashion sense is sort of a mix between Rick Owens, male gyaru and some western street fashion (primarily black with flowing elements). I want it to be mysterious but believable that people would find this character fascinating and captivating enough to follow them into the woods for a makeout except they're being lured to their death. I'd love to add some subtle blood or gore motiffs as well since I'm an edgelord but I don't want to overdo it.

I really want there to be some sort of hair/head accessory but I don't want to fall into the generic types like this anon said >>55802679. My initial idea was for a pair of antlers (canonically when the pond monster formed the character [people had stopped trekking through the woods since things like railways had bypassed it], it had forgotten what a human looked like but had an old tuetonic knight winged helmet nearby and thought that humans had antlers and just used some old deer antlers laying around) that had a crown sort of dangling off of it because I thought that would be a fun bit of animation but I fear that the antlers would be too large and take up way to much screen realestate compared to the character. But I still really want some sort of animated head accessory.

I'm probably not explaining it very well but I do have a clear idea in my head.

hello asp, a viewer recently bought me a 3dio as a surprise gift, i've never done asmr before now. anyone happen to know the best way to speak into the 3dio in terms of distance and angle? like i try to get really close from the front but the plosives sound terrible. tried speaking from behind with hands cupping the front which sounded better but still kinda weird.

i listened to a few of lemonleaf's videos which were done with the 3dio and she never has any harsh plosives but she still sounds very full, close and clear

any advice for getting closer to that kind of quality?
