I said a bad word about raids but only in the context of raids with bad retention, and I think that was pretty damn common. Raids with bad retention are shit, they fuck up your algo and they introduce false peaks. But raids with good retention are good.
I can't speak for other anons but I personally have been very consistent about that.

As a long time follower of IRyS I think it's actually the opposite. She is the first choice of a large amount of people and IRyStocrats are super super loyal. we know she streams for so long there's no pressure to pick her during overlaps. IRyS will stream 4-5 hours so if during those there's an overlap you can safely go watch the other girl and come back after she's done with her 1 hr stream. IRyS will likely still be at around the same spot she was (lol but true). This is similar to Fauna except Fauna has almost no overlap due to her time slot. Bijou has a similar situation where you can always leave for the other stream and return to her when she's still streaming.
Numbers-wise this is a good technique, it builds the holobox by ensuring you have coverage at all times, viewers also start bulding familiarity and loyalty to the girls they see so often, while the short streamers add variety and excitement thorough the day. Ideally you want a good mix of both long streamers who keep the holobox glued together and short streamers who keep the box varied, this was likely (?) planned by management if they know what they're doing.

I think the main reason PL started getting more common is because chuubas change identity all the time nowadays, sometimes even multiple times. It's pretty common now for girls to have multiple channels or identities which makes roommate kind of an inaccurate term.
