It'd be more accurate to say "there's no financial reason to leave Hololive for Vshojo". And that's true. Even if the percentages are worse, the amount they sell through is so much higher. It also carries a lot more branded opportunities than Vshojo in their own Japan. There's no escaping the reality that as a brand, Hololive is much, much stronger.

It's not just money. The projects you can accomplish in Hololive are going to be far more impressive than what you could do in VShojo. The connections Hololive have are far better
Off the top of my head, when Mikeneko talked about wanting to do interviews with female VAs, it was like an aspiration of something she might be able to do with her VA group. And then I was on the catalog and saw that Anya, one of the smaller Indonesian Hololive girls, had some pretty big females VAs just show up to her birthday. That's a pretty good connection considering Anya isn't even one of the big league Holos, but she'll get stuff like that because the company has those connections built already. Or Marine getting to talk to ZUN because she's a huge Touhoufag

Again, you're not seeing the point here. If someone wants to walk away they'd have reasons. You're giving good reasons to stay, which work for you, but not others. In the example we're talking about, Haachama might be financially successful and have connections, but we know time and time again she has had to be reigned in by management, she (and others) have had projects denied or scrapped, and like the other talents has general limitations that would not be present otherwise.

Sometimes not being under the bootheel of an oppressive overlord who takes your money, even if you get a lot in return, is better than being a corpo wage slave. People leave their jobs routinely for nebulous concepts like "personal fulfillment" or because they want to start their own business or something. The blue dorito isn't a flawless paradise.

Mel's media stream was pretty good. After she finished that, she started a Honkai antagonist tier list but stopped because her throat was getting sore. Then she tried to raid Filian and I say tried because she raided Filian's alt instead. Mel and Layna then hung out on Filian's stream for a bit. Mel made Filian drink soup out of a shoe as a punishment and Filian forgot the soup was spicy so she had a hilarious reaction. They then showed Filian that Layna/Mel porn pic which was also hilarious. Mel's description of "I'm using Layna as a harmonica!" was priceless. Layna and Mel both left the call after that, but on Layna's stream she called up Mel again and for some reason Mel thought she was calling for phone sex. That whole bit was once again pretty funny. One last thing, Layna is getting on Mel's case about doing the joint ASMR and wants it recorded by the end of the week.
TL;DR - Mel had a very good day of content that's worth checking out.
