From what I understand from a translated stream where she was discussing her graduation, leaving was her own choice, driven by disillusionment over the vtuber industry. Cover resembles a skeezy yakuza-run hostess club more than a virtual idol agency. But even if that weren't the case, if she had stuck around, the bugs would have made her their primary target, and she'd still be going nowhere as a performer. If she had reincarnated as an indie she wouldn't have the corporate backing she needed to be a music and performance oriented chuuba. She hasn't given up on being a performer, so hopefully she'll have better luck with whatever she is working on now.
