And a bit of what is happening in game...specifically the legend weapons in Aurorai.

In lore, they were forged as a "break in case of emergency" measure should one of them go awry. Fast forward to the events of the game and it was up to Omega to carry out the proverbial glass breaking and meteor the weapons to Aurorai. Unfortunately, some fell into enemy hands and must be taken back.

In game, they can be only used by people with an S in the proper type. Such weapons also give +5 to 1 stat, +3 to 2 stats, and +1 for the other stats not chosen for the higher tiers. Each weapon has its own gimmick.

Kayfabe bros who used this thread.
Advent has brought about not one but three kayfabe chuubas that will revitalize the vtuber scene and cause a new age of enlightenment, proving Hana Macadamea Nut or whatever her name was wrong. This was undoubtedly caused by the collective cognitive power of our schizophrenia which caused some sort of cosmic alignment with the kayfabe general as the sacrifice.
It was a good thread that fulfilled its purpose, I kneel Anya poster and will bump your global.

I'm guessing Blancopolis was half-assing their support for Negazion because they don't want those guys to actually *win* (mostly providing supplies, letting them pass through their borders, etc.). Blancopolis isn't really prepared to conquer their neighbours by force, when they could exert influence on everyone through religious institutions instead; as a result they have a decent military with some famously skilled battalions, but it's mostly used for guarding their borders.

Unfortunately Negazion is way better at manipulating them than they realise. They send troops dressed up as the good guys to attack Blancopolis, pillaging their towns or assassinating their leaders, then egging them on to get revenge. Because most "unicorn thread" OPs are bait.

You could even have one or two of the more unicorn-friendly Holos live there, and try to point out Negazion's trick but fail. When they flee to warn the protagonists, the zealots now in charge brand them as a traitor.

The saplings have an interesting implementation of scifi plant people with their space hives, which are basically biological space colonies. I can imagine lots of ways Rosebutas could go.

I've updated my flat earth hololive world setting to account for the new talents
Fuwamoco gets to be a diarchy of two states that act under a unified monarchy, Nerissa gets to be a demonocracy but fairly civilized, Shiori is an obsessive archivist culture who is basically a giant library, and Bijou is a fairly flat grassy country filled with living earth elementals
Here's a map of what it looks like. It's been a while since I posted this but it's basically a low population flat earth setting where the only civilization exists in the nations ruled by the talents who are demigods in terms of power, and the only true god is Yagoo. Former talents lands are empty and the world is beset constantly by monsters. Everything outside of the borders is just endless fog.
The world is about 150 years old.
The claustrophobic look is intentional. As new talents join, lands appear from the fog fully formed with no memory of before they existed.

The countries quite literally appear as if from nowhere, fully formed but with no memory of life before.
Example, imagine if you popped into existence at your current age. You KNOW what you've been doing but you don't remember it. It's sort of like that
Then the lands develop culture and infrastructure wise from basic to modern as the talents mold them to suit their wants. Borders often fluctuate during this time as they get used to dealing with monsters or have minor border disputes, but full out war essentially never happens because the consequences of that are well understood by the older states who are ready to jump in and knock heads together

Truth be told I’ve been kinda stuck lately. Originally I thought about decoupling space /vnug/ from the OG /vnug/ since it’s technically a separate setting now and to be honest I also found the space setting more appealing than the original one. But then when I start thinking about how to rework some of the stuff (nothing that affects the stories) I also starts thinking if I should go for a different approach entirely given this thread’s rebranding. Maybe I should have the vtubers actually be involved in the lore? Currently I feel my writing doesn’t really have anything to do with them and I kinda wanna fix that even though I don’t know how to do that

If that gets your creative juices going I think you should go for it anon! The chuubas could very well have incarnations in the space setting, and you could do anything with that. I also had a vague idea for an "avatar" kind of person that is similar to the main princess for the Himedom. Not quite the vtuber themselves, but an individual that embodies all their characteristics. Or you could just have a person that is literally Liora, without any particular mystical links, nothing really wrong with that. The space setting has fewer restrictions.

That works too but I guess my main issue with my writing’s that it feels too disconnected from the vtuber’s actual lore, although the problem’s that V&U has pretty light lore and they don’t do much kayfabe. Ideally I want them to play a more central role in my setting that also fits their lore somehow alongside in-jokes of the fanbase but I’m not familiar with all of them (something that will get worse once gen 3 debut and double the size of the talent pool)

Maybe you can try to draw more from their personality? I know that I've pulled a lot of societal aspects from Mori's personality instead of stuff that is really lore. And personality has more uh, "supporting material", since it's developed in every stream.
I don't think there's anything wrong with focusing on the vnugs you're more familiar with though.

I think the thing’s that V&U has 5 (soon to be 10) vtubers and the two I watch the most (Liora and Kokone) have fairly similar personalities so they might translate to pretty similar things. I guess I also don’t want to make my creations too abrasive even for those with a rougher side of them
Another thing I feel I might’ve made a mistake’s making palkyrie its own species/race since now I feel I need to make other fan groups within their own species too lest it becomes a “Liora and her friends” situation (and at least one of them doesn’t like being just an accessory of someone else)

Maybe you can show the more abrasive bits with separate, more antagonistic incarnations? Like a Dark Liora faction... Or maybe AI Liora, since she's canon kek. Imo there's nothing particularly wrong with making some of the fanbase representatives baseline humans, depending on the mascot. You can make group unique and distinctive in ways other than being different species. Smaller stuff like behaviours, hair or eye colours, clothing preferences all work just as well imo.

It was more about Serafi since being a punk’s basically her character so it would be weird if her fan base’s particularly nice. I thought about making them more like mafia (amafia was one of the potential fan names after all)
As for species the thing’s that I like space palkyries a lot and I feel making the other fans baseline humans with funny ears make their shallowness even more apparent but I guess it’s still better than making them humanoid palkyries or just not writing about them

Maybe if you think about how they arrived to Sestag that could give you some ideas to give them more depth? Are they recent arrivals, or did they start colonizing around the time the space palkyries did? Did they have to keep to space habitats because the planets weren't hospitable enough? I guess another reason I wanna remake the background of space /vnug/’s that the current background of exodus kinda implies a single origin so it would make sense for them to all look the same (palkyrie-elf mix). Maybe if I detach the setting from the OG setting I could include more variety by having them evolve natively or something

I really like these kinds of “points of light” worlds where civilizations only survive in small patches of the world surrounded by some kinda existential threats (though I didn’t get into AoT when it first went viral but in hindsight I guess I dodged a bullet) since it puts interesting stresses on how they cope with that! I have been thinking about it since that post about schizo background radiation but I guess it’s not as apparent in a space setting since space is mostly deadly emptiness as-is

Oh, are you familiar with Disco Elysium? I think it's one of my favorite implementations of that concept, although it's a bit subtle for much of the playthrough.
Maybe the galaxy outside of the Vitubian Nebula could be inhospitable in some way. There was a concept for insectoid armies representing Taiwan Arc antis having invaded the sector from outside the Nebula at some point.

The concept is pretty neat even without context... Basically, you have the world existing as islands of reality that exist in a fog of "Pale". There are multiple islands, and you need flying ships to travel between them. The Pale isn't something physical, it's more like the concept of "being" progressively ceasing to exist. As you go further into it memories, time and mathematics stop working, and sentient beings are eventually driven insane.
Slight lore spoiler for the game if you don't plan on playing it: And the apocalyptic part is that the Pale is expanding, increasingly encroaching on the living space of humanity.
Yeah, space scales make things a bit weird like that. The Nebula is tiny compared to the galaxy, but it's really quite enormous in absolute terms.

To that end, I made Kronii's backstory a former Warden in the Clover Island prison. When the machinations of then-Bishop Damaso became too much, Kronii packed up and left.

Damaso also has a boss convo with Kanata, one indeed of the unicorn-friendly chuubas. In that one, Damaso tries to make Kanata turn traitor but Kanata knows what Blancopolis has become.

Shifting slightly to another topic, I made it so that Anakondian female bosses in particular view men as slaves and women as first class citizens. How should I write in the "seething 2view/vtweeter/sjw" aspect? So far, all I have is that their tribes are just color+snake lead by the Blue Anaconda tribe where Karonda (Karen+Anaconda) hails from.
