Wisdom teeth removal isn't bad at all, the worst is the healing. You can only eat soft foods or have a liquid diet to not dislodge the clots where your teeth were removed or else you'll get dry socket (extremely painful). No drinking anything through a straw because the suction can dislodge the clots, brushing your teeth is tough, you drool constantly (make sure you put a towel on your pillow when you sleep or it'll get nasty), and you're dealing with constant moderate pain.

The sooner you get it done the better, anon. If your wisdom teeth are fully impacted (growing horizontal) it WILL fuck up your teeth and give you the worst pain of your life.

I used to draw blood for a living so here are my thoughts on this:

It really depends on the patient if they have good veins or not. Since Selen had general anesthesia she wouldn't have been drinking much water (food or water in the stomach increases the chance of aspiration) which makes veins harder to find. I can explain the physiology behind it though I doubt the anons here would be interested.

Some veins seem like a good choice on appearance, but one you palpate it's clear that it's not a good one and will collapse the moment you stick a needle in it. Some veins will still roll despite you anchoring that sucker down. I've had thin patients who have had zero good veins due to cancer and needed to be stuck in the wrist, and I've had morbidly obese patients with the fattest antecubital vein known to man.

Obesity stretches the skin out which in turn stretches the veins. The extra layer of fat means you have to stick the needle in a different angle (instead of 15 degrees, think 35-45 degrees) and deeper than usual. You have to double tourniquet too sometimes and really have them pump their fist to get the blood to pool, but I don't like doing either if I can help it. It elevates certain lab levels and hemolyzes the specimen aka ruptures RBCs (red blood cells). The lab gets mad at me if that happens.

Oh and never get your veins stuck by a nurse. They only get one day of training and they SUCK ASS. Go get a phlebotomist. Those are the people you want messing with your veins because they draw blood all day every day and almost nothing else.

It's true that some people have hard to find veins, but nurses in general don't get to have as much practice as phlebotomists since they have other responsibilities. I'm sure ER nurses can draw blood just as well as the seasoned phleb though. It really depends on the department they're in.

Love my nurses and they don't get paid enough for all the shit they deal with (sometimes literally) though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Selen's chub did hide the veins in her arms. A decent amount of obese patients I had always needed to get blood drawn in the hand since there's less fat in there. It sucked since the hand has more nerves and it's more painful to get stuck there, the skin is stretchier which causes veins to roll more, and I needed to use up my valuable butterfly needles when it could've been used on the cancer or dialysis patient. It's really like threading a needle sometimes.

Man, I did a few things like caregiving and tried training to be a Dialysis tech. Now, I'm an EMT/Non emergency MT. I've seen so many good people come and go, the one time it was too close to home, I knew I had to help people that couldn't really move anymore go to their appointments or dialysis. These people are trying to hang on as much as they can for their families. It's the least I can do.

That's what interested me most when going back to her Dead Space playthroughs ngl, she talked in one of her Post-Stream Zatsus there about how after joining Nijisanji she's been playing games onstream (like Dead Space) that she otherwise would probably never have played until then (let alone on higher difficulties like she eventually did with Dead Space 2 and other games after that since).
Instead choosing to play one game she could grind out endlessly before moving on to the next one. I wonder if because of that her perspective on what games to play may have changed, even if only a little.

It's called PASSION. Back when Apex was actually a good game I spent tons of time playing ranked during the weekends. And back when Rocket League wasn't owned by Epic I repeatedly got into Grand Champ (Highest Rank at that time, akin to Apex Pred or Top 500 in OW),

Single Player games bore me for the most part. I can have some fun playing through like, Need for Speed or something. Or GTA's campaign.

As someone who also only ever plays Single Player Games (and will always prefer that kind of PVE experience tbqh although Souls PVP does sound like it'd be pretty fun to get into ngl), it is actually kind of interesting to hear someone with that different perspective.
The PVP experience I've had is arguably TF2 when I used to play it quite a bit years back, and even then all I really did was just mess around in that game kek.

There absolutely is. With Ranked games I played (Rocket League, Apex) I want to be the best in those games. Unfortunately I don't have a squad with passion in those games so it's solo q for me.
With my friends, usually I play Coop games with them, they don't have the passion or are good at the games I play competitively. Though they get mad when I don't play with them when I'm playing ranked, which is annoying.

Part of it is because I enjoy playing a game with friends, so even Coop I'll enjoy over playing by myself. Well the games you mentioned and played have PASSION from the devs making them to make them good games in the first place. So they'll hope you have the PASSION to play them for as long as you can. Although that could be just because she sometimes overworks herself by trying to strike up conversations and/or keep them going. Even in Solo Streams I think she can overwork herself at times with how much she can talk in them.

This is one thing I can respect about certain streamers, not just Vtubers. But it goes much more for Vtubers. The ability to keep a convo going with chat during dead air and the like. It's probably not as hard as it looks (but still incredibly difficult) but I don't think I'd be able to do it. Back before Niji was considered a true third world shithole I even applied once after Luxiem and managed to get into the 2nd round before backing off because of how I thought I'd do dealing with chat. Also ngl, for the longest time Jak II was probably one of the only games I've played for a long time (I could probably speedrun it if I ever returned to it lol), and even today I'd usually only play one game at a time. This is probably why I avoid single player games. Because I won't be good at them and I will be frustrated at the mechanics and uncharted territory. With Apex, or any FPS game, I have good aim. I have the aim for it and can pick up the mechanics for that game in a short amount of time while having aim to bail me out. I don't have that with other games (Except Racing games maybe)

As for Selen doing one major play through at a time, I think it's better that way so that she completes it without starting another game as it'd get distracting. I'd do the same.

There's still single player FPS Games like Half-Life, Doom, and so on you could play if you're more into that. But I guess you like the more competitive aspect the Multiplayers of other Games have to offer I'd imagine...
I personally really like getting into the Mechanics of a certain Video Games, it's hard at first to wrap your head around them sometimes but for me it feels really good & rewarding when you get that sense of mastering your controls, and that's ofc where the Game gets most fun either way really...
Even when I'm still absolutely shit at some Games like DMC I'm still having an absolute blast with them lol
For example when I first played Yakuza 0 I'll admit I was honestly really shit at the Game but I loved learning/improving either way, and after playing the entire series up to that point, when I went back to revisit it on Legend Mode it felt awesome to actually know what I was doing in that game. Essence of Finishing Blow, which I honestly struggled to get my head around when I first played it, unironically became one of my favourite Heat Actions to use upon revisiting it.

I know. I did beat HL (back when I was poor, I found a cracked version that didn't have a trojan but it's been so long). I have both versions of Doom as well. Thing is there is something special with being able to beat actual people though. Something that is missing in Single Player FPS Games. That and like, hard mode in some games is just more tanky enemies and they one shot you. That's not a challenge that's literally just cheap.

Hard Modes tend to better in Action Games like Yakuza (where it's really the way it's meant to be played if we're honest) or DMC (where it's treated more as a NG+ and one-up from the initial challenge).

Btw Selen also seems to help keep me sane as well, helps me cope with the fact that I'm still single and living with my parents.
