My preliminary thoughts on advent now that I've rewatched their debuts and post-debut streams:
It's not the EN version of JP/ID sankisei.
They can remain strong but they're not going to the dominant gen that catapulted the branch, since the circumstances are just too different: unlike the other branches, EN started out extremely strong with myth, and Gura will likely remain the sole superstar.
It's clear that they're trying to fill out more niches, and outside certain exceptions I don't think much of existing audience will switch their kamioshi. This is good because it shouldn't lead to niji-esque audience cannibalization.
4/5 are either ESL or have a noticeable non-native accent, which is little issue for non-anglosphere audiences (holo EN is already overwhelmingly dominant in NA).
Of those, they potentially got a cute Kaela-esque streaming machine, bilingual twins with adorable kayfabe (very strong hopefully long-lasting gimmick), a genuine oldfag with connections who I hope can play the tardwrangling hag (though Kiara-esque tangenting is an acquired taste).
Meanwhile Nerissa is just strong all-around: very impressive credentials, great singer (hopefully including karaokes, we'll see soon), lyricist, talker, VA.

tdlr; It's not a magical sankisei, yet I'm feeling pretty optimistic about advent and the rest of holo EN.

So that vrabi ccv bug where it jumps super high just before the stream ends hasn't shown on on the main site for awhile, where I think it has been patched, but it still shows up on the "general" section. The problem is that I think EN needed sankisei to revitalize the branch. They got 5 solid streamers but they *really* needed a couple of them to come out of the gate looking like a superstar.
EN has needed more talents just to fill airtime but once the hype dies down I expect all of them will end up as middling 4views like the rest of the branch.
tl;dr their long-term ceiling is Fauna. I love Fauna but EN needed more than just “good”

To be fair, I dont mind a world where Hololive and Holostars are equally the biggest in the world. Nothing would make me more happy than complete demolition of Nijisanji in their own game.

And I know to get to that point Holostars gonna need a lot of help from Hololive, directly and indirectly which I can accept for a greater good if things are done through understanding the fanbases...

There's at least 3 different rrats for the issue.
1. FalseEyeD NDA leak, Vesper investigated first, blocked, and found out Magni was also involved. Entire branch under various levels of investigation, asked to not interact with the new girls, morale low.
2. Vesper cucked Magni's gf rrat. Her twitter being privated is the only reason this rrat even has some legs, but if this was ACTUALLY the case the reputation of the entire fucking branch would be forever TARRED.
But after NotMagni and NotVesper were seen together, this rrat is probably dead in the water.
3. After firing Omega, the Stars were split from HoloEN management and put under Stars JP management. Discords were separated, old rules of "do not speak unless spoken to" were implemented (doesn't seem to affect twitter follows though). The CGDCT faction being ultra happy, Kiara and Mumei saying how much management has improved, and Gura returning to streaming, all hint at this.
Naturally this would be an issue for Vesper and Magni and their leeching plans, along with suddenly having less budget for everything (thanks for setting THOSE expectations Omega, Axel being smug about having a huge budget for his songs and his every whim being catered to comes to mind), and having MUCH more restrictions than what they were used to.
They probably wanted to amend their contract to counteract this in some way, and Cover probably stonewalled them - resulting in them possibly going on strike together with maybe Bettel as well.
