Why are so many vtuber fans so obsessed with men?

I mostly watch vtubers to watch cute girls, so I don't watch male chuubas very much. However, I don't get why some people obsess over them so much, to the point that they will refuse to watch a female chuuba if said chuuba collabed with a penis haver at some point in the past. Why not just skip the male collab streams and just watch the other streams? 90% of male collabs (or 100% in the case of Hololive) are entirely platonic, do it shouldn't be an issue even if you are using vtubing as a girlfriend simulator. I would like to understand the logic here.

This isn't actually an absolute, it's only really an issue if they're still actively doing it. Mumei did one homoJP collab in the past, but she never did another and ghosted Tempus, so people got over it. There are similar situations with holoJPs like Miko. Redemption is (usually) possible if the chuuba just stops.

Feels like this has gotten worse lately, catalog is full of males and I never even wanted to see anything about them. Because male collabs spread like a disease. "Just don't watch them bro" isn't an option because if you ignore them they'll just spread. They have to be actively fought against and the girls who collab with men have to face harsh consequences for doing so as a warning to the others. Furthermore, it's well understood that they go into camwhore and streamer chats asking if they're single and then cussing them out if the streamer says no. This is where the VTuber fan has come from.
