Fujo ain't a deal-breaker. If you've been around cons/the anime scene, the Fujos tend to be the more real anime fans than most women in those rooms/groups. They obsess like retards over dumb cartoons and while annoying and spergy as fuck, they are exactly what your average teen boy who loves anime is like except replace it with harem or whatever the hotness of the half decade is (re:isikai right now).
She's just too forceful with what she WANTS you to picture her as, rather than just being open (or acting) what she's actually like. In the end, it's a combination of acting, personal feeling/stories, and working with the chat that makes a vtuber 'character' and her way of 'telling' us what she is just comes off as not really getting the point and rubs me personally the wrong way.

It is, and it could be. I'm just basing it off of what I hear during the debut. Things can change, and debuts are full of nerves and fears that can really fuck with you. Who knows, in 3 weeks she could find her grove and I might compliment her, but my first impression is that she's just bad at acting and is too forceful with what she wants, which is fine if it's part of the character but hers comes off more as 'desperate' in that she really just wants to fit that role without putting in the effort.

Shiori was a bit heavy-handed with her talk about respecting people she collaborates with, but she still has some things going for her; she's an archiver that seems to actually read literature (appeals to book readers), interests align with her goth model (based on cartoon/games/husbando choices), and unique stream ideas (education, microscopes, anatomy, chemistry). I'll wait 2-3 weeks before judging her too harshly.
