I don't think the MV really matched the song. At least it didn't look Mori enough and that was a problem for me. Song itself hit hard. Not sure if Jigoku6 will replace any of my favorites but it doesn't need to. More Mori is always good. Experimenting with sound even if you know some of it won't be doable live.

Thought that just hit me. Since she was giving disclaimer that this song was going to be sad/dark. Compare Six Feet Under to Cursed Night. How simple and calm that earlier sound was and what was going through her mind, now look at where she is now. This woman is incredible.

What makes me think this way is the smile and the crown on the woman here, it kind of evokes a "told you so" feeling and the crown is sort of unholy. Based on some of the other lyrics like 'tried to fix something thats perfect" I think alot of this song is about Mori trying to do things her way thinking she was right and realizing playing along with the flow of everything might have been the better choice all along. That's why later on the womans face starts melting, as if to show Mori's actions or some unrelated something cause actual harm to her/it
I think the part where she goes to the building with colorful balloons or pinwheels or whatever and sees the children is something along the lines of seeking a new audience (maybe twitch? maybe the whole connor JK arc?) where the grass is greener and finding out they are evil/ vicious and not what she expected in some way
the end where she and the woman embrace is her coming to terms with it all and maybe it's too late (in her mind) but she's going to 'embrace' the proper path sorta thing

since her popularity had crumbled, that also forces her to make more compromises nowadays, some of them making her feel less like the "herself" she established early on, but the only thing she's really capable of doing is double/triple downing on her decisions because in the end she can't really act differently

funnily enough, Kira Killer touches up on a lot of the same feelings in her segment, it's just the general mood of the MV and track itself being more positive so it doesn't come off as biting, but it clearly shows that those feelings were stewing for a good while
