While Vshojo doesn't need to expand at a rate similar to other orgs it would be nice if e saw evidence of ANY talent scouting happening. Holding auditions just to end up with Haruka, Kson, Nazuna, and Henya make it look like all they were looking at in auditions was who had the fanbase attached to their name. This is fine to an extent but Vshojo obviously has the power to polish uncut gems. Yeah, I know tons of indies are lazy bastards and not very entertaining but surely a couple of them would have been worth investing in, right?

Phase has Pippa and Lumi
Idol has Rin and Yuko (Gen2 seems to be doing OK but of course they're still very new)
Offhand, unless you are specifically a fan of these companies, it's very unlikely you know anyone else, let alone care about them.

Those companies are doing what is called a "shotgun" approach. They don't have the power to pull in big names who are already known in the industry so they're throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Phase has managed to have a singular success story and another with potential and Idol has that Brit who got TikTok famous. Beyond that? A whole lot of just trying shit out.

VShojo doesn't have to do that so there's no reason to do that.

I hate to bring up numbers but I'll do it this time. Anon, Henya's average viewers are more or close to more than the average viewers of Phase Connect entirely. And maybe also Idol. You need to combine these two companies audiences to reach the levels of Henya and maybe even Mouse.
I wish for new members, and the vagueposting of Mouse and Henya possibly indicates that they are coming, but VShojo can't just go and debut Vtubers every 6 or 7 months and in waves.

Well, I guess Bubi's was also really good, but I honestly could not tell you why. Probably because Bubi lives his kayfabe by never streaming so he can't break it. He feels like a character rather than a streamer who uses an avatar
