Cover does not have the game development experience or technology to make an overambitious project like this work and it's already showing signs of feature bloat despite still being in the earliest stage of its alpha
The good choice would be to cut your losses and cancel the whole project but we already know Cover doesn't like doing that to high loss projects

It's a pretty early stage game now. Like, earlier than Genshin's alpha (pre CBT1). And you can look some of Genshin's early betas up - CBT1 and beyond have footage out there. They removed an awful lot of jank from the game between that and the release day.

Is it likely that they will build it up into a good, or at least a decent game? Doesn't seem so. The more likely outcome would be that they ship it in a shitty unfinished state, get their talent to promote it anyway, and fans still buy enough MTX to make them the development costs back.

But it's not impossible that they'll actually get their shit together and deliver a decent game. I've been gamedev-adjacent for a while, and there are wilder stories of success (and failure) out there.

This thing is on production for 3 years max, even big game companies need 5 to make a game good straight away, anyone thinking this game will launch good is retarded but it can get better with the years and since the concerts are the biggest appeal of the game they'll get lots o time to make the game good if they aren't just greedy or idiots

First, they should have outsourced all or at least part of the development to actual game studio instead of in-house team. Second, they have to do actual alpha test instead of concert test for actual feedback. From the footage of fubuki and co playtesting it, it seems the game is already somewhat playable.
