So it is only predictable that BIG american companies will misunderstand what makes vtubers so great, and they will try to create their own versions of the things.

Maybe as a meme, but the time for that was long ago. Unless an EN of some persuasion gains like 20 million subs in a month, it likely will only ever be a meme or a closed circuit thing, such as turning an established character into a chuuba for the attractions at the parks.

Possibly. The tech and public interest are slowly growing but aren't enough to catch the eyes of corporate giants like Disney, Apple or whoever. In the future though I have no doubt in my mind something like a vtuber can be extremely popular. Imagine a fully detailed 3D pop icon that can perform in VR with the budget and team built around them to create movie quality performances. Almost like what Hololive is doing right now but just overall higher quality.
