to be fair, holostars was never a success to begin with. what kurosanji got as a one up is the fact that their heavy hitters on the jp side are males, and they practically dominate most of the male vtuber market on that end. luxiem road on those coattails, so when the debut buff died down, they've fallen off.

Really was such a strong start of unity, but the cracks started to show the first time Vesper got suspended and it's all but gone now. At this point I'd say that Hakka is the only truly loyal to the others one left. Axel and Altare never really meshed 1 on 1, Altare really only seems out for himself and will collab with whoever if he sees benefit from it, Axel is just kind of there and would be better as a JP talent that does EN streams occasionally, Flayon is an extremely annoying little fuck with a horrible personality (or act, but if it is an act it needs to stop) and both Bettel and Shinri do absolutely fine on their respective own.

Redesigns take a fair bit of time to do. Those new designs could have been from literally half a year ago and just got finalized. Contract renewal time was up and it's extremely reasonable to assume that one or both just weren't happy with their contracts / wanted more but Cover wouldn't budge so they're gone. The redesigns were already paid for and completed back before the contracts were renegotiated. So yeah, if they're fired / quitting they WERE pointless, but it's not like they were a spur of a moment thing and no, they do not point to them staying.

Likewise, I believe Coco had a brand new outfit and a brand new song literally after she announced her graduation, so again, your argument is moot.

Also this whole thing reeks of termination since it's extremely similar to what happened with Rushia, the only difference is that we don't have any clue of what might've happened which indicates it being an internal thing so it's not anyone's fault other than Vesper's and Magni's if they fucked up hard enough to get the boot. Why Cover isn't saying anything? Likely because they don't want to pull the trigger without enough info. It took them 2-3 weeks to sort out Rushia's whole thing and confirm that she was indeed feeding info to that dramatuber (and allegedly others as well) and I doubt they won't be extremely careful with this situation because it's literally half of their half-gen and 2 of the top performers of the whole branch, so unless they really fucked up Cover won't want to lose them independent if they're still doing worse than pretty much all of the girls on average.
