I actually appreciate that the Holostars fanbase is more balanced. Gachis are fine in moderate amounts but having only gachikois as fans isn't worth it in the long run mentally (for either the fans or the chuuba) and causes a lot of drama along the way. Plus I like being a fan of something I'm not embarrassed to talk about in public. This is why I could never get into Kpop or Otoge or anything like that, I don't want to be some kind of menhera freak (no disrespect to menhera freaks /here/) because I'm already weird enough on my own.

Holostars have done a pretty excellent job at cultivating a "chill" audience. If they catered primarily to extremely parasocial fans to the detriment of any kind of secondary audiences the fanbase would probably suck a lot more. Look at poor Izuru, a lot of his fans are menhera teenage girls and he clearly hated it when it got to its worst points. I'm not suprised he stunted his numbers to filter people for his own peace of mind. If I were him I probably would have done the same thing.
