The problem is vtubers by default are catering to middle-income educated Indonesians, and this market segment is more attracted to "global" culture and are more likely to speak or understand english. This is a big reason why Holo ID is still the market leader in Indonesia. In order for a vtuber to succeed in Indonesia, they have to strike a balance between representing local culture and appealing to the global market. In contrast to Japanese vtubers who focus on the domestic market, and EN vtubers who have global appeal by default.

Even if you pick up a full time job and stop streaming it costs nothing to stay on a vtubing roster and do one thing every other month or so, no reason to quit (though Sana did, probably because the career she was focussing on involved an online presence that would have been awkward). As for getting fired, it's terrible optics to fire somebody for bad numbers alone.
