Yes and no. Nijis have that problem mostly because of Luxiem, but indies are also hit as well. Many viewers see a male model and assume they're trying to appeal to women like Luxiem, so many men scroll by while fujos think they're in good company.

I don't think body type matters, moreso design philosophy. Kakashi is completely different from your average heavily gacha/otomege inspired male chuuba design. Fulgur, for example, would have been completely fine if not for how much he leaned into being the "cyber sexyman". Hell, I think majority of Noctyx isn't super faggy (minus Uki and Yugo), its just the personality of the chuuba themselves.
