It's November 2018, 9 months after Mito. At that point absolutely everybody except upd8 management knew that streaming was the future. I'm not seeing streaming being replaced by something else any time soon, there are just too many advantages to it. There is a reason why the switch from meme video format happened in the first place. What might happen is bigger agencies expanding their media franchises to make them more normalfag friendly. Not everyone is going to watch streams, but plenty of people will buy manga or play gacha. Even fucking Nijisanji is just 3 years old. Bronze age by vtuber history standards but initial planning tier for a modern AAA entertainment project.
