It should have a snappy name and a more defined focus on what lore is and how it should be factored and made. Absolutely zero rep or namefag shit but that should go without saying.
It could catalog the canonical lore of chuubas in general as introduced by chuubas through things like lore videos and any fanmade lore is set as a distinctly different category. The focus should be less on creating character narratives and more towards creating content based off of chuubas in the form of setting narratives. Vitubia should be the general term for any setting based off of /vt/ while any other setting based off of just the chuubas can be called whatever. To emphasize the point, I'd suggest a setting list that would have a Vitubia link that leads to the archive instead of just having the archive. Making it a lore general instead of a worldbuilding general also makes it so that there's more likely a chance of constant activity since more vtubers and debuts mean more lore.
Vtuber Lore General is basically a good enough differentiation from vtwbg and has much more potential and reason for someone to visit it to drop the canonical lore of their chuuba even if they don't care to write their own. It also would expose more people to the lore of others without having to ask them to do their reps.

Essentially that lore should be made in its own context, either to stand by itself or fit inside a narrative setting. Lore written to clearly just be its own thing is considered with other lore meant to be its own thing and is allowed to be its own thing independent of all other lore while lore that's meant to be based off and paired with canonical corporate lore is placed amongst canonical corporate lore fan works. Any writer is allowed total freedom and 0 pressure to remain and conform while autists are allowed to sperg out and create their fanfics to their heart's content.

i do agree that a hard reset is needed, i personally don't buy much into the "awful reputation" thing at all, that only really applies to those few reps that came and left because they came in when the thread was quite suffocating. other threads got awful reps too and yet still find new people, /nasfaqg/ is known as a dying project that has gone stale yet new people try it out over and over, /asp/ is commonly known as the worst place to go if you start otu as a vtuber yet new people go there and try it out after all, /wvt/, /vsj+/ etc. hell even /wg/ isn't exactly known as the best thread overall.

our issue with the current Vitubia project is simply that its suffocating as a new anon. we keep on building on ruins we all agree are shit yet aren't willing to remedy for the massive changes it would take. the timezone that is awful because its too late for melee epic but too early for true industrial kino. the too strong emphazis that was put on the canon in the past. chuubanite and everything else pseudoscience related.

the space setting alone also just isn't helpful enough for it. while it tries to use wisdom we learned to fix issues of the main setting. it is still treated as the "lesser" sideproject with the way we present it.

i think we can rebuild ourselves as a worldbuilding general anew but we need to have a clean start and use what we learned and used for the space setting to make a new clean start.

maybe even have a plethora of settings to cater to more tastes.

have medival vitubia. space vitubia. the era after vitubia. /vt/ tower where everything happens within one eldritch horror tower. bizarro /vt/ setting where we explore how a genneral would be if it was the compelte opposite. Chuuba Vitubia where the chuubas are the citizens and the world is filled with them and interacting in a place. and a high fantasy vitubia

People have done so in the past, have they not? The main factor that drove everyone away is the need to adhere to a rigid canon, coupled with a severe issue of name/tripfagging. This solves the former, and the latter is solved by telling anyone who would try it to go kill themselves.

the way the above proposal is aimed. i feel the focus is more on putting in official lore and everyone just completly isolating themselves and writing new settings and lore unrelated to anything as first and foremost goal going forward.

from my view so far we had workign together to create semi coherent worlds together as the core. we might have been too rigid with the vitubia setting but i still greatly loved that core idea of everyoen doing their thing that adds to a greater whole.

i would rather going forward to have the principle and core of the project still be there. that settings are still at teh forefront annd that workign together in them is greatly encouraged.

here is how i believe we should restart

have the settings first and foremost, add a little introductionary blur to get the ideas and feel of the setting across and then have the different subcategories as makes sense for that setting

to me this makes much more sense, still puts worldbuilding together first and foremost and encourages it.
new people can go in and directly get an overview of the settings and see if they find something that might fancy their interest and if not they can go ahead and create a new one. there is no need for lenghty reps to be done first or need to learn some tag system first annd know what "the era after" tag means that may or may not appear under their chuuba.
you also actually get an overview of all settigns that exists even if nothing for your thread or chuuba has ever been written for it

with this system, you only see what already exists for your thread/corpo/chuuba. if there is no lore for your chuuba in the "era after" setting yet then you won't even know it exists unless you go through and check a tag system seperated somewhere entirely else or get lucky that the pirate setting uses the "pirate" tag instead of a settingname tag like "Chuubabbean".

anyone that coems in wanting to write for their chuuba ro whatnnot already also knnows their offical lore ennough that they don't need a blurb of it first and foremost. and if you wanan write for a chuuba you know jack shit about, well then do your reps annd go to the vtuebr wiki or the about section on their youtube/twitch.
thats where one should do reps, not in our own convuleted system of how we present ourselves towards nenw people. in fact it was this need of never ending reps on our project spread across the whole archive why we drove many people away in the first place.

I support centralising EVERY /vt/ homebrew setting in one place. Just categorise it more coherently according to setting direction.
I'd say we categorise it like follows

A. Vitubia-verse (Classic)
Includes the setting where threads are nations/factions; Discovery era VT, its AU derivatives (Era after, space, etc)

B. VT-Tower
Includes VT tower where every thread is a floor and anons are tenants, and its derivatives

C. VT HighSchool
That VT school with chuuba teachers thread

D. Holo-World
That one hololive world setting

Etc

Been a while. I dreamt of this last night and wanted to get it down before I forgot. Sorry that my writing quality isn't as good as it usually is, I've been super busy writing essays, so my ability to write creatively has been dulled a LOT

The Katzenkanons

Chonkers and Smoothie, named affectionately after the Kaiserins two pet cats, are a pair of incredibly large anti-ship cannons found at either side if the port of Phoenixton. Their barrels are 40 meters long each and 10-meter-wide each.

Designed originally as a naval deterrence following the second Takobell Incident, during which heavy damage was done to the coastal regions of Phoenixton, they have been maintained in order to wrest control of the Phoenixton bay from pirates: while they are largely ineffective at striking smaller ships warning shots alone are usually more than enough to scare off most.

They are operated using a pneumatic piston combined with a draw bridge mechanism, with the intention being that if one is damaged the other can keep the weapons articulating, and are sat atop a large, rotatable, concrete platform, a large portion of which is submerged.
Each is operated by a team of Fifty-Two men: 10 to operate the drawbridge mechanism, 18 to operate the rotating platform, 7 to operate the pnuematic piston, 8 to load it, and 4 dedicated just to aiming the damn thing.

They are capable of firing one of two types of round, both of which custom designed and manufactured for them and them specifically: A shell containing Kaiserins Butter, a thick, sticky, flammable substance made out of refined phoenix feather wax, or alternatively a solid cast iron slug. These shells are launched using an initial explosion of highly pressurized Phoenix Gravy. The sound of the Katzenkanons firing is described as like as being like "200 thunder claps forced into one spot" followed by a low, metallic, hum.

Chonkers and Smoothie are used to fire pine trees into the ocean once a year on Yules eve, an event that draws large crowds. When asked "What is the sense in doing such a thing" Phoelix Krämpuslauf, the Phoenixton Regional Manager of Naval Defence, answered: "I ask myself that too".

Alright going to weigh in on the hard reset thing. Not going to bother to format replies since I'm fucking lazy.

I think a restart could work, the main issue is that barrier to entry is way too high, although I'm going to be honest it feels like what you guys are suggesting is just a more structured version of what /wg/ is already doing.
I'm going to be honest this place was always destined to die.
Name and Trip Fagging probably didn't help (I say, doing both) but to be completely honest the cross section between people who like Vtubers, browse 4chan, and are creative and motivated enough to world build over doing something else with their already strapped time is pretty small.
What's more the motivation to keep writing for most is having people talk about what you've written: Lurkers tend to just read and leave without posting any feedback, and writers tend to be too absorbed in their own work.

I personally don't super care about a hard reset as long as I get to keep on writing MCMC and the new story I'm currently working on when I have the free time.

What about Pylsai? It isn’t really a reference of anything from existing lore (since V&U’s lore and fan memes don’t actually feature a lot of names) but I think stormy petrel would be a good fit for their specialty. Assuming camouflage isn’t relevant (space and all) the color scheme’s probably black with white highlight, and the emblem might be something like a black lightning mixed with a bird. Maybe something like the Speedbird?
As for uniform it’s probably unisex, maybe something similar to modernized hanbok? I’m thinking of something like Star Trek TOS movie’s uniform with a prominent left lapel covering the (smaller and usually unseen, at least when the uniform’s properly dressed) right. It’s asymmetrical so that they can have easy access to the central venous catheter by just unbuttoning and unclipping the lapel (they do that in the movies too). The lapel’s hold in place by a clip stretching from the right shoulder, which is also where identification and rank insignia should be at. The goreum (the string thing that holds the lapel in actual hanbok, especially for females) will actually be a tucked lanyard (can be ornamental like fourragere depending on the circumstance) attached to some kinda gadget relevant to the wearer’s role. It’s usually some kinda combat drug like ichorite but pilots expected to get off their mech on duty might also carry ignition key for the mech with that. If they’re in space they’ll probably wear pants although some might opt for skirt+tights instead. Their tail will also be sleeved and some might have additional lanyard/hook tool for the tail to use. Space suit will be form-fitting counterpressure suit (may or may not be worn on top of existing uniform) with a bubble on the head (see Non in her Proxima cover with Kokone for reference)

As for weapons the usual mech weapon’s probably particle weapon for ranged, and pile bunker or thermal lance for melee, also somewhat dependent on the intended target. For personal weapon I think their slugthrower of choice might be some kinda revolver shotgun, while laser weapon would be either something (relatively) low power but with a high rate of fire like some kinda laser SMG, or the direct opposite like a charge rifle. Might need a lot of cooling if not also a backpack for power but it’s probably powerful enough to be an anti-armor weapon

They culturally prefer to be armed when practical so they’re probably packing a sidearm like Bamak or a laser pistol (generally less useful, but you can charge it at any port instead of needing special ammunition) most of the time. Probably also a utility knife for… utility. Lugging around a full shotgun outside combat might be too impractical even for them, but a revolver shotgun might still be small enough as a sidearm if they wanna compensate for something
I don’t have alotta idea for more weapons just yet so you can probably assume it’s similar to RL revolver shotguns
