It's not just a software issue because things like mouth forms and basic rigging that shows up on some models but not others (his near-3D head for example) aren't a result of that, though it is part of the problem. His mouth for example is just a flapping jaw, he can't make nearly as many expressions as indie vtubers with 500 dollar models despite mouth forms being an extremely basic thing. They just need more scrutiny when it comes to the artists/riggers they hire, though most of the problems tend to fall on the riggers.
