You don’t choose your oshi anon and Kiara became a Hololive fan without expecting to become a part of it one day. She said in her Digikomi interview that getting in wasn’t necessarily a “dream come true” for her because she never dreamed of becoming a vtuber, let alone becoming a Hololive one, in the first place. She was just a random Nousagi in a parasocial relationship with her oshi that got in after deciding that it wouldn’t hurt to try and apply and had her life suddenly change for the better because of it. But this also means that the dynamic between her and her idol changed drastically because she went from just being a random fan who obsessively watched Pekora’s streams, to a co-worker that ocassionally gets to talk to her and gets invited by her to play sometimes. She also doesn’t have as much time to watch Pekora’s streams like she did before as she now also works and streams a fuckton herself and also gives importance to watching her other co-workers’ and friends’ streams.

TLDR; she didn’t “go the Pekora route”. She just naturally fell into it without ever really expecting to actually meet her personally. You could argue now though that if she was actually serious about changing oshis (which I highly doubt because that’s now how this works), this time, she would actually be consciously “going for the Watame route”.

She was supposed to have a MHR collab with Gura that didn’t happen, her Cats collab with Ina got pushed back several times because of Ina being busy because of her birthday, and also her Mario Party collab with Ame and Haachama got cancelled because of Chammer’s break.
