There's a lot of possible explanations for why basically every male in Nijisanji EN probably fell off.
>Their female fans are probably ESL and don't understand them. There's only so much you can listen to someone to you dont understand before you lose interest, and the clips that came out this year probably didn't depict flattering portrayals of their oshis.
>Their female fans probably got tired of feeling like they were being taken advantage of. They probably got sick of Luxiem pretty much using them to pump their viewership and superchat revenue only to basically do a radical change in content. As a result they left to people that would fill in the void.
>ACCELERATE eventually took its toll on the fans. Even sisters who jumped on with NijiEN last year probably got tired of the constant debuts of livers that basically act and play and do the exact same content with little variation.
>The February drama took its toll on everyone, from the fans to the talents. As a result a lot of fans just gave up.
>Their fanbase is literally Twitter. They have a lot of followers on Twitter, even more than they do on Youtube in some cases. But it does not translate into viewership at all, let alone superchats or memberships. And again they dont make much from Merch.
There's probably more reasons but you get the idea.

I don't remember if Yugo necessarily had a huge impact on the branch since Anycolor's dirty laundry wasn't shown off yet. But yeah, cancelling AR Fes pretty much a week after they unveiled it ruined everything, especially since half the branch was MIA around that time just fucking around in Japan. Then that was followed up by Zaion being terminated, tarred and feathered, and the ugly side of the fanbase was fully shown off where they doxxed and harassed the fuck of her. Even the talents to an extent showed how ugly they can be with Ren being the only mature adult in the room that tried to get people to stop.
The final nails in the coffin were the Zaion doc leak, the 2% merch rumors being confirmed, and this new wave being leaked with an amazing degree of accuracy.

It’s like why the Salvation Army gets way more donations around Christmas even though you can donate to them anytime. I’m not even saying it *has* to be virtue signaling. Just that it’s easier to just fall off and not do it once the novelty’s worn off…AND a lot of it’s virtue signaling too

>numbers this, numbers that, numbers blah
The only reason niji and hololive get excellent numbers at debut, is because of all the JP viewers.

They instantly bleed all those JP viewers because they don't speak English. The boost provided by JP viewers and subscribers (dead subs essentially), spread the algorithm to more English viewers than normal though, hence their dominance over purely EN corpos.

coco didnt go viral but she did sink her hooks into those who were brought in by the others.
and because asacoco featured multiple of them, it made getting familiarized easier and got people interested beyond the viral stuff, at least at the start since once the momentum was built up, it grew on its own regardless of coco's influence.
that plus the pandemic beginning around the same time.
