Sounds like they saw the writing on the wall from the company's stagnation and jumped into action to desperately course correct but don't really know what the fuck to do and saw the males being a thing now and decided to jump on it without really thinking of the consequences of it.
The fact that they were performing so poorly probably meant they thought they had little to lose anyway.
But half assing males is barely bad at best or really suicide at worst.
It really depends on how everyone in the company handles it.

If anything Lisa and Amiya saw some significant growth while being in Tsunderia, it just wasn’t nearly enough since the company clearly had more issues than just males. Tsunderia males also had some issue of their own, Tomoya is a really talented singer and music producer that has had a few viral covers even recently, but he did a lot of mixing streams which were kinda niche. Kazune would often focus on one or two games at a time, and eventually just moved to twitch. Nen just didn't stream all that often and went on hiatus before Tsunderia crashed.
