when i went to college bible study, i was taught this way of thinking, and i don't want to forget it. for those within the church; we called them the 5 Means of Christian Growth. Prayer; Scripture; Fellowship; Ministry; Suffering. basically, they all had an idea behind them and they were what we practiced and reflected on frequently. so it was kinda like:

Prayer - Simply Talking to God. On your own or with others. Some people kept prayer journals to go back and see all the answered ones.

Scripture - Reading the Bible. working through and understanding passages. pretty much actually studying the word.

Fellowship - Being around other people who shared your faith. talking and building relationships together. working through problems and hanging with each other.

Ministry - People in your life who did not participate in fellowship but who you gave your faith to. so ideally they became a part of the group eventually. anybody who you evangelized to.

Suffering - Different from the rest because nobody asks for this. so sometimes things don't go your way and you might lose opportunities. ultimately, down the road you are thankful though, because God has strengthened you through it.

they all had like specific specific passages to back-up the reasoning and it was kinda a big ethos that the church had. for me personally, i had a reminder set on my phone each day with them and i would reflect and meditate which i had completed. but, i stopped caring for this anymore.
