You can’t simply train anyone into First Army. Niji’s vtuber training academy has proven this. You can't train Roboco into Pekora or Marine. 95% of First Army are shaped by their previous lives. No amount of vtuber training can rewrite or rewire the vtubers' brains.

Eventually Hololive came up with “The LAMY Project”. Rather than pursuing the rare First Army, Cover realized it would be way more cost-efficient to mass produce mid-high quality vtubers with a standard blueprint. Using a conservative and foolproof formula.

So they released Blue Lamy the prototype. She worked well then Green Lamy was released. Cover was shocked to find out the Lamy formula worked well even in a foreign environment. Then they released Pink Lamy with a little bit of twist and variation. Later she proved to be the most promising talent of her gen.

*sidenote*: The name of the prototype was chosen as L.A.M.Y (lineup and mass yielding) Yukihana (snowflake/anybody) as a meaningful reminder of the project
