He's still there and still doing that. He's a gachikoi in the true sense, sticking around unlike some of the other "gachikoi" translators who left. I'd wager he'd stick to matuli even if she got a boyfriend instead of just fooling around occasionally.
Lyger's case is still a sad one though. He used to be a good translator at the head of EveTaku subbing anime. Was a weird feeling finding him being a live translator for matuli.
I imagine he eventually realized live translating is just not worth it though. Too easy to make mistakes, the people it keeps around very often end up being annoying as fuck, and most that can't understand nip will never bother making an effort to do so. Feels like a wasted effort.

Pretty much this. It was the Shin-chan streams that did him in. Said it was the most vapid, uninteresting content and proved that FBK had lost it as a content creator.
