I love Gura but clearly she wasn't cut to be the number 1. Most of HoloEN aren't even good enough to be in Hololive, they have a bigger audience than HoloJP and had a stronger push early but wasted it being lazy. The branch is abandoned by Cover now so its overalls state is Cover's fault but the situation of the individual members is their own fault.

Torn between "fuck yeah, get gen 3 out soon, find some real breadwinners, ditch the homo debuff, make them all stream if they want to keep their job, make better/cheaper merch internationally" and reasonable concern for what investors can do based on what investors tend to do with businesses they don't understand when they push too hard for short term profits. Like the possibility of accelerating new gens, going too hard on sponsors or pushing everyone to perform so much they get anxiety.
