Streaming a ton is bad for CCV in the short term, but in the long term it is a very good thing. At least on twitch. On twitch you are practically invisible if you are offline, the only way to get people to notice you on the platform is to be online. There is a reason that all the top twitch streamers stream like 12 hours a day, the platform heavily rewards it. Add in a reasonable amount of networking with fellow chuubas and you have basically the ideal growth strategy.

To put it simply, being online more means more tourist eyes seeing your content and being given the opportunity to click on it. More opportunities to be raided by your friends. More opportunities to be raided by random people. More chances to deepen your connection with the people who are already following you and to build your community into one that supports you having a higher CCV.

Ultimately its a lot of random chance, but if you have the time and mental fortitude its not a bad deal.

Depends on the contract and your vtubing ideals. If you want to go to the larger corpos, having small corpo experience in your cv definitely helps and they're stepping stones for something larger. Like, if you can't handle a very small corpo and their demands, you're not ready to handle large corpos with more responsibilities.
If you value freedom and complete controls of your endeavor, and not bound by schedules or certain kpis, indie is the way

Yeah, I feel like being in a smaller corpo is holding me back. I have freedom, I just want to be somewhere where I feel like it's paying off. Being in a small company doesn't do that. There's bigger company's with freedom as well such as example, Phase Connect. At least when you're indie you can have chances at bigger opportunities during that process or at least you know the things that are paying off or aren't paying off for you are at the expense of your own hand. It's a scary process to move forward on though and leave the comfort of where you are now.

Assuming you're on twitch:
1. Viewer watches on weekends. Viewer comes to site, might see you, might follow. Stream more on weekends to gain more from this pool.
2. Viewer doesn't watch on weekends. Viewer comes to site, doesn't see you, watches someone else.
The weekend viewer pool is marginally larger than the weekdays, according to twitchtracker, but you're still only visible on 2 out of 7 days even if you do everything else perfectly. On the upside, you've got 5 days to improve :^)

Can anyone help me understand this phenomenon that happens when I get very excited on stream, my mic can't seem to pick up the full range of my voice?

I have a deep voice and it sounds great normally, but when I get really excited (I think this is describe as high octane?) The mic gets really distorted, I never peak into the red so it doesn't seem to be a clipping issue, it just seems like this vocal range is not mic friendly, same thing happens to a friend of mine but they're on a completely different type of setup.

Check if you have any noise suppression running, it can get confused pretty easily, and will just remove anything that it doesn't think sounds like your normal speech.
