As I've many times ranted in this thread, it's simply just that Matsuri is so boring when she plays Apex. Same applies to basically all casual chuubas/streamers that play Apex. Everytime she plays a 7-day tournament I can't help but always think in the back of my mind that a 1-hour utawaku has more entertainment value than 5 days worth of 6-hour scrim streams. She's a great entertainer, but she's not there to entertain when she plays a tournament.

The tournament days themselves are pretty good though, since it's the "real deal" I guess. More at stake. Also aside chuubas and casual streamers pro tournaments are something I actually like watching, though even they only start getting interesting after round 2 or something since the first 10mins is just looting.

I view them similarly to her minecraft streams:
- when she's solo, she interacts with her viewers and good stories or rants can come out of it. which is what she's great at
- when she's collabing she can bounce off of who she's playing with and that in itself is entertaining. one of her best recent laughing fits came from her playing with Wat and Pakael for instance.

Without that it can be tedious, but in my experience that tedium is relatively rare and not really any different from when she's playing any other game.

Gameplay wise she's learning to play wraith now and she's just much better at the game in general. It's a huge difference from even just a year ago where she would cower during every encounter. I genuinely enjoyed watching her master achievement clip because you could see how much more decisive and communicative she is. And when she is serious she is great to watch from gameplay alone. That's why the first round of Nijipex was also the best round -- she was completely focused and playing at the top of her game. She didn't quite reach those highs again until the last round when she opted to snipe.

It's just safer / easier to collab within the company. The other holo members do collab with others (infrequently) but Matsuri probably has the biggest network and therefore the most opportunities. She's openly stated that she doesn't turn down collabs and will make time for them if possible.
