No doubt EN is a flop and dead trend but I honestly think it would have happened no matter what, people claim the girls or management killed them but nothing really happened.
ENsharts just aren't built to be a fanbase, they are casual as fuck and would have gotten bored of the "hobby" one way or another.

The advantage twitch thots have is that twitch is legitimate zoomer culture at this point and its normal for kids and young """"men"""" to spend all their time watching streamers. So they have a huge advantage and don't need to worry about dying trends.
Hell they can even cuck their viewers and still not really lose numbers.

I agree with your general point but just like the EN audience is casual, so are the girls, and so they do share some responsibility. Half of council came with a PL yab before even debut. Another retired after less than one year. The biggest holoEN member basically disappeared as soon as she realized she had enough to retire for life. Beside maybe one or two exceptions none of them have any respect or desire to actually be vtubers or idols, they just happened to be generic egirls into anime and internet culture and eventually lucked into Hololive.
