Kiara's probably disappointed because Pekora's just mildly selfish, which is ironic because they're literally the same character and personality type. Trying to be cutesy. Tolerated but not beloved by their fanbase solely because they're entertaining. Oftentimes chewed out by their chat. Kiara definitely became en pekora, for better or worse.

Except Kiara is actually more high spec in that she traveled, had lots of experiences, knows multiple languages, and tried her best to incorporate herself into the broader collab ecosystem.

The irony is that pekora may be a better comedian, but as a character in general she's a one trick usagi. My guess is that Pekora sees Hololive more as a job, while Kiara sees it more as a friend group who stream together.

Pekora's comedy comes from how she (intentionally) sets herself up to be mocked by her own chat. It's a dynamic everyone understands and can participate in. She makes ridiculous, boastful claims, gets overly cocky and immediatly the consequences come bearing down on her in a comedic way. She is a cute cartoon villain.
Kiara is boastful in a very mean and destructive way. She can't handle to be the butt of a joke, so the result is a series of pats when she does something retarded, which is often caused by her genuinely thinking she is better at things than she is.

This is why people go and watch Pekora fail miserably at things with genuine enjoyment, and why people leave Kiara's streams frustrated and complaining.

Yes. Before Kiara left Japan and after the Minecraft collab they did together, Kiara was at the Cover office at the same time Pekora was there and she managed to convince the staff to meet her, it was quite sudden and caught Pekora off guard. What Kiara didn't know is that Miko was there too and after some time with Kiara clearly ignoring Miko, she made a snarky comment at Kiara who noticed and asked her to clarify what she said. Long story short the argument escalated and ended when Kiara slapped Miko in front of Pekora who exploded at Kiara and told her and i quote "If you ever touch my girlfriend again i will kill you peko".

This incident was actually the real reason for Kiara to move back to New York.

-heck she ended up reaching out to moona because she needed lapis lazuli, and continued the conversation because in an autistic spurg moment while trying to type in english, she sort of extorted moona while tossing TnT at her (yes, the stupid rabbit was trying to be nice but it really came across as bullying, something pekora noticed imediately). So she tried to make it up to moona by offering her something in return, which moona said she needed wool and yellow wool.

That said I don't think Pekora hates Kiara, I think she's trying to be nice to her, in her own autistic way.
