This is one of those threads where I realize how disconnected I am from the lunacy of these Discord and drama schizos. I watched the video before people started responding to this thread with all of the drama posts and I walked away from it with "oh that's nice and a shame they're leaving, ganbate Hana". I don't think there was any realistic way Hana could have drawn English viewers to the rest of Nijisanji ID. Early on she did attempt to promote them indirectly, but it didn't work and she felt guilty due to her own success speaking English. She also tried promoting the Nijisanji IN talents and had little success.
Had she soldiered on rather than self-sabotage, she could have maintained growth until YouTube introduced raids - that would have given her the option to send her larger audience to her branchmates to promote them, and the leverage to get management to promote them more.
Instead she sabotaged her growth and was used as a tool for promoting Nijisanji EN before her branch was rendered irrelevant and absorbed entirely.
Its a sad but entirely predictable result, and she was naive to the consequences - but its not entirely her fault.

Honestly, even if its bait, the underlying question here is a good one. A big part of the answer is probably that HoloID talents do a lot of language switching and translation between Indonesian, Japanese, and English, so they have a much broader appeal. They also actively collaborated with a lot of the other branches and didn't silo themselves off to nearly the degree Nijisanji ID did.
