If you want a genuine answer, Pika's biggest weaknesses was networking and support, and even if you don't believe VSJ is the best destination for that, she was stagnating, and it was 100% because she rarely collabed and never initiated them. If you're Pika who is looking at this as a career, you are probably going to want to change SOMETHING when you're stuck at 500-600k for nearly a year.

Pretty much this. Sure she was niche and a pioneer, but that means nothing, aside the recognition, when everyone and their mother started to do that.
Her networking wasn't great, GYARI's circle was already too small for her and it was probably the best move to move on. Both sides were content, so there's no problem. Gyari and VOMS still recognize her and she clearly has no beef against them, it was purely career growth.

IF she was doing it for the reasons you said, it does make some sense. IF. Although it's kind of not that smart considering you're starting from zero again. But again, she isn't known for being the brightest bulb, or maybe hottest kettle, in the room.
And still, it seemed she was okay financially, so there wasn't a NEED to grow even more. Unless, again, we presume she desired more. But considering her life style, I doubt she wanted so much more money just to buy frivolous items such as designer handbags. Then again, she is a woman. She's really not, she basically brought her entire fanbase with her, and it's not like a Holo leaving Holo where she loses the collab partner network which is a significant part of the appeal. Pikamee largely solo streamed or occasionally collabed with the handful of people forward enough to ask her to collab.
